cornhelium 0 Posted March 26, 2003 Hi - thanks for this great resource. Can anyone use their interpreting skills on my Flashpoint.rpt file please? You'll see the included crashes are all for Airstrike for Sebnampack2 by Devilsguard (part of his 30 mission pack for Nam), but the game can crash in any mission where things get busy (the best parts!). Other hardware intensive games run fine (Unreal2 runs great apart from known bugs). 3DMark 2001SE default score 10,545. What happens is that the game freezes solid, with sounds looping infinitely (breathing/machine guns/whizzing bullets/vehicles especially helicopters). It's a bit like dreaming about Madeline Stowe then being woken up by your neighbour's FUBARed car alarm just as things get interesting!  :( I have an Asus A7M266 (AMD761 Northbridge and Via 686B Southbridge) with the latest BIOS and the relevant AMD AGP and Via 4in1 patches, XP2100+, 512mb Crucial RAM, GF4 ti4600 with Detonator 41.09, SBLive 5.1 Platinum. I've decided to try a TB Santa Cruz (in the UK AKA Videologic Sonc Fury) as they're cheap now and I've heard no complaints about them. OS is WinME. My gut feeling is that the SBLive needs new drivers, but 95/98/ME support has dried up. I'm running with the SBLive alone on IRQ5 with SB16 Emulation disabled, GF4 on IRQ9, and have also disabled both com ports, one USB root hub, my TV tuner card and the Floppy controller - the PCI bus looks seriously trimmed down and this helps, but I still crash. Here's a quick rundown of the things I've tried (X marks a percieved improvement in time before the game crashes): Disabled EAX with just hardware acceleration(XX Big help); Turned hardware sound acceleration down via Control Panel(X, but  game chugs); Tried the DirectX sound debug fix; Tried unofficial drivers and A3d drivers; Tried PCI Latency timer settings 0, 16,32,40,48,64,128(X); Enabled delayed transactions(X); Now using OFP Addon manager; Set my VIO jumper to 3.45v(can now set AGP Drive Strength to AUTO as recommended without video corruptions); Ensured onboard audio and LAN is disabled by jumper as well as in BIOS; AGP aperture set to 64mb, 128mb(X); light overclock to 135mhz FSB as suggested for stability. Silent N Deadly 0 Posted March 26, 2003 Wow, how long did it take you do write that? That's long. I don't think I can help you. Try emailing BIS or their support area thing. Sorry I can't help you more! -*EDIT*- IS that the error message you get?
