Tychon 0 Posted March 22, 2003 Not meanin' to be rude or anything, but I think this would have been much better placed in the Off-Topic forum.
iNeo 0 Posted March 22, 2003 Yes, OT rather than ME... I'd say SAS anyway.
Guest Posted March 22, 2003 Unit YAMAS - In charge on domestic (within Israel) CT missions. Sayeret MATKAL - In charge on foreign (outside Israeli borders) CT missions The guys from YAMAS dress like Palestinians and throw rocks with them... then turn around and arrest the ringleaders, VERY dangerous job. Â They paint their guns to prevent FF from other Israeli units in the area. See the red on the muzzle?
DJOlmstead 0 Posted March 22, 2003 I agree with rufusmac. That sounds like a very dangerous job, and it would be pretty funny to see the looks on the rioters' faces when all of a sudden they have guns in their face.
Shashman 0 Posted March 22, 2003 Hmm..you should make a distiction between "civilian" special forces like for example the French GIGN or GIPN and military special forces like DELTA Force...It is very hard to say IMHO which special forces are the best. Each one is better at a certain task than an other.Heh..being British I'd have to say the SAS, but I am also half Italian so I'd have to say Col Moschin. Guest jacobaby Posted March 22, 2003 Mods, move this one over eh? All I will say is that SAS instructors train other special forces in certain aspects. I think as far as covert insertion and covert ops go the SAS and SBS are highly efficient. Just look how the RM were able to move into the al Fao area an secure it. All of that would have ben down to SBS covert recce missions/planning, they would have been in operation for some time before the deadline, making highly detailed intelligence reports. I dont think it is for no reason that they got the job ;o) TJ
Milkman 1 Posted March 22, 2003 I say the SAS, just because they have the most expierience and the best record in my opinion.
iNeo 0 Posted March 22, 2003 Why hasn't this been moved to OT yet...?

And, you naturaly become the best when you have Paras chasing you around the country side who beat the living shit out of you if they catch you.
