No message from server with 2ppl on same server

My bro and I are playing on the same server but somehow I always get the "no message from server" error message and i get dropped and yet he is still playing. what is going on? I am using the linksys router too. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Are you using Winsock or DirectPlay? My guess is that all the packets destined for the OFP ports are being routed to a single PC.
