Chris Death 0 Posted March 13, 2003 OK my game crashed to desktop while loading a mp-mission and this error message i got: data file read error (truck5trepair.p3d) Then i switched over to my editor and made a map with only a west repair truck on it - preview - same crash again. I think it might be caused by an unofficial addon, because i'm sure that i've been playing a mission a month ago, where a repair truck was included and i worked. I have to remove now all my addons piece by piece (starting with the latest ones) and hope to find it then. But tryin to avoid this hour-eating procedure i'd like to ask if anybody experienced the same problem and could probably tell me which addon this was. btw - i've already used the "search" function for the word: truck5trepair in this forum and at OFPEC. Also at madame Avon's FAQ i couldn't find anything to it. ~S~ CD
theavonlady 2 Posted March 13, 2003 Move all your unofficial addons out and run that simple test in the mission editor again. Does it still happen?

Just thought i could get around doing this: removeAllAddons; tryit; ?(itworksNow): goto "putinAgain" #putinAgain put in Addon (only one at a time) start game - check repairtruck ?(itdoesn't work): that's the one ?(itstillworks) goto "putinAgain" Ah yeah btw - i've already tried to replace the p3d file in my data folder with a working one - same effect. Anyway thanx for the response ma'm ~S~ CD
Chris Death 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Well consider this post as solved. I've removed all addons which i have installed since 01/2003 - then i started OFP, checked for the repair truck and whooop - everything ok. Then i started adding one after one into the game again. Everytime i added an addon i started the game and checked out my repair truck. Now the weird part: when i added the last addon my repair truck was still available without having the game crashed to desktop However - west side is able to repair their vehicles out in the battlefield again and CD is happy - maybe a little bit confused now but still happy @ Avon Lady: i don't think you need to add the info from this thread to your FAQ's tho it was still your advice, which would have solved this thread aswell topic solved ~S~ CD
