Tonebender 0 Posted March 3, 2003 Maybe it has been done before, but I couldn't find anything using the search forum function. I'm interested in seeing addons with bomb planes that drop regular (falling) bombs, not just rockets and missiles. A Flying Fortress or a Stuka would be really cool, or maybe a Vietnam era bomb plane or helicopter. If there's already any such addons available, I'm very interested in hearing about them. Thanks! /Henrik<span id='postcolor'> There are heavy bombers that have been made. There is a fairly good B52 bomber beta addon and there is a B1B Lancer bomber coming out soon. However the problem is this.... the AI pilots always try to dive bomb the targets and end up blowing themselves up. However... the good news is that you can use scripts to simulate a heavy bomber raid. I also figured out how to get the bomber AI pilots to fly at high altitudes. The trick however is to the triggers positioned so that the bombs fall early enough to hit the targets. I'll try to make a good mission showing a large B-52 raid, but it's competing with several other missions I'm bouncing back and forth between trying to finish up.
