Miha42 0 Posted June 4, 2023 Dear Community Moderators, Today I had a serious issue with Discord server moderator. I was looking for a certain mod I saw pictures of, asked about it in official discord server, and one moderator instantly insulted me with saying I'm not welcome in official Arma 3 Discord and started deleting his and mine messages. My message was asking about a certain mod (for which that community moderator said is ripped mod, and in fact it isn't as the mod is published on Steam Workshop), I must say that I don't support ripped mods and had no idea it was ripped. As soon as this guy told me, I stated that I don't support it, but anyways I instantly got a ban saying 'supporting known ripper'. I also have to add, that I wanted to ask about the 'Second Assault' mod that is, as I've said, published on Steam Workshop as original creation. Besides my request to get unbanned for this nonsense, I want to report this moderator for his actions, without even making sure I did something wrong, or warning me, he instantly started insluting me, deleting his and mine messages so the conversation looks totally out of context, as a professional in community development - I must say that this is totally awful for a whole Bohemia Interactive community image. My username is guymontag#7385 His username is something like 'horrible_goat'

On what basis do you claim that publishing an item on the Steam Workshop means that it does not have stolen assets? One doesn't get an "original creation" badge just because they upload something on the internet. You would have known if you actually read Steam Workshop EULA (and Arma 3 too). But you didn't, of course. It doesn't matter whether you "support" ripping or not, but pushing your agenda of assets being automatically "legalised" just because they are downloadable got you banned, it's silly to think otherwise. Not to mention that posting your "feedback" on a completely unrelated forum category only strenghtens the view of how much you don't care about what is being said to you and how ignorant it is of you to throw proofless accusations, lol. PS It's "Arma Discord", all games of Arma series are covered and supported there, hence being an official one.
HarayokaWa 0 Posted June 26, 2023 Hey! I suggest contacting the server administrators or the Discord support team directly to report the incident and explain the situation in detail. Provide your username, the moderator's username, and any evidence you have. Hopefully, they'll be able to investigate and address the issue appropriately.
