Global Mobilization SPW-40P2 (Ch) - Chemical Detection Markers

I've been trying to find out whether the SPW-40P2 (Ch)'s chemical detection markers are actually functional/can be made functional. I've found that you can "deploy" the markers from their covered status, but as of yet no way to actually place them down either from inside or outside the vehicle.

The GM 1.5 Update OPREP states this: 

Anyone know if it is possible to place said markers, and if so how to do it? Any help appreciated.

@Alfa1561 Only the driver of the SPW-40P2 has the user action to deploy them, once deployed the driver can place them by 'firing' them. (left mouse click)

Thank you, never thought about "firing" them!
