I originally posted this question in Configs and Scripting but didn't get any replies. Sooo, I thought I'd post it here as it probably fits better here anyway.

I know the intent for editing missions, scenarios, campaigns, etc. is to remain in the Workbench throughout the development process. What I haven't figured out is the best way to set up version control. Personally, I prefer git but I'm open to exploring other options if they work better with the Workshop.

What are you all using? Any preferences? Gotchas to look out for?

Hello?

Let me ask the question another way. Is there any way to connect the Workbench to a source code version control system the same way that you can in Visual Studio Code? Or should I rely on an external tool like TortoiseGit?

TIA

Ive had the best situation between me and 12 others using Tortoise SVN for collaborating on a custom map.

Now I'm very new to modding and etc but its been working well for my group.

Granted this was an old tutorial from a repo i dont even use any more lol, it was to help the people on my mod team to get on board, but it gives you the just of it I think.
