Wind195 0 Posted February 23, 2003 Hello, again  seems I have tryed to get by the DF394B.TMP or safedisc problem,I would like to thank everyone who have helped me and It seems I may just have bad luck. lol  I would like to know if this safedisc problem is a problem with all operation flashpoint games , Flashpoint, flashpoint gold edition, and the Expansion, I have tryed everything that could be done even the safedisc patchs and No CD ones. I was wondering if a new CD drive would work. Need a new one since it makes sounds that can be heard 2 blocks down. I hope I get luckly.
Placebo 31 Posted February 23, 2003 I would imagine that mechanical failure type sounds would be a smidge of a clue Seeing as you can get a decent Cd-Rom from Ebuyer.com for under $20 it would prolly be worth investing in one
Wind195 0 Posted February 24, 2003 Yes,even if it didn't let me finaly play OFP at least that sound would be gone. I was wondering if the first version of OFP the one without the redhammer camp,Does it have the safedisc problem?
Placebo 31 Posted February 24, 2003 Well all versions of the Opf exe have safedisc, however 99.999999% of people seem to be able to play Opf safedisc or not, some may need to do some tweaking, read the FAQ's download some drivers etc. but I really can't imagine there being systems out there that no matter what cannot use software that has safedisc, it's probably just a case of researching solutions and acting on them
Wind195 0 Posted February 25, 2003 I spent 1 week tweaking and reseaching solutions and They never seem to work. I was wonder about the older version of OFP because if it is older the Safedisc program could be older and I may have more luck getting it to work. I don;t care if I miss some of the new things for the OFP gold edition
