Distorted maping of textures on model in O2

Recommended Posts

During texturing model I observe unexplained error/malfunction in O2 - caused by some planes pasted/copied to the same LOD (shape have no texture and no material, haven't any face corruption - looks quite normal  nothing strange - all UV maping setings are looks set to 0 in "Face Properies") after delete this problematic shape textures in rest of model in this LOD back to normal - O2  not report any error of strucutre or double maps ID or something like that in structure or even some error message - only solution is remove element after element from model until You found this strange plane or shape  causing problem and delete it.

Probably this can be caused by import model from outside file formats but it is only my conclusion.

Temporary solved - solution to remove twisting of textures:  set all UV values for shapes causing problem to 0 manually , even they are looks like 0 in "Face Properies" window (unfortunatelly must be retextured again but model stay in his orginal shape not need to remove shapes from it).

New observation: error ocure during normal editing of new/fresh model/LOD when I delete planes from shape what was before mapped with textures and materials, and after delete those planes I create new planes on those points (it looks like points remember data form old shape about it's uv maps and causing strange twisted/broken textures).

Most problematic is that error/conjunction of UV parameters take effect not only on this one edited shape - but on whole model in LOD.

twisting effect looks like that:

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

after remove wrong/broken planes/shapes it back to normal (orginally it is phone from destroyer's bridge in low detail)

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett
