theavonlady 2 Posted February 11, 2003 Many times, OFP's display of briefings leaves much to desire. The question is whether the following examples are bugs or if they're resolvable: 1. Sometimes a briefing display forces a new page (arrow in lower right corner), even though there's no break code whatsoever. 2. Sometimes, OFP chops up a briefing, showing the objective points halfway through a brieifing. 3. In the case above, sometimes, after paging to the end of the briefing and clicking back or clicking on PLAN again, the objective points no longer display no mater what you try. I'm sure there are other similar example. Is there a solution or is OFP briefing browser buggy?

There is nothig exciting in the HTML. There's no logical explanations based on the HTML code, AFAICS.
Bart.Jan 0 Posted February 11, 2003 I think there are some bugs in OFP briefing browser. I saw similar problems in several mission even there are no unusual things in briefing.html. In addition I have problem with multi-sided briefing. West x East briefing is ok, but everytime I add resistance or/and civilian side their objectives are shown for west and east too. dinger 1 Posted February 11, 2003 It is a bug with the briefing browser, and one that's been around for a while. It is exactly as you specified with one exception: when it occurs. It happens when the text part of your briefing exceeds one page. There is no "fix". Â There is a workaround, however: Keep your main briefings to one page. Use hyperlinks for additional information. With hyperlinked-pages, you can have briefings as long as you want. Â For my (1.46) Artillery Simulator, I wrote a "user's manual" that's something like 50 pages long, and in the missions, I'd hook them up via a hyperlink.
