GothicOne 0 Posted February 9, 2003 I haven't played this game since I finished the Resistence CD when it first came out must be several months ago. Got hooked on another multiplayer game. I'd like to get back into OpF. Have never played OpF multiplayer. Is there a normal server browser for this yet or is it still tied to GameSpy and or requiring an IP etc.? Is there any more mission packs in the works from Bohemia? What's the future hold? Cheers
Spitfire 0 Posted February 9, 2003 There's an ingame browser in Resistance, but many people prefer using The All Seeing Eye to find the games they like.
theavonlady 2 Posted February 9, 2003 As an alternative to GS, search The FAQ for "all seeing eye". Also look at this forum's SQUADS & FANPAGES and MP sections for servers to consider. Search The FAQ and the forums here for "independence lost". Date of release? Unknown. In addition, there's a whole lotta unofficial missions, addons and mods being made. WWII is a theme that is looking very strong right now, with impressive demos and trailers showing us what's in store. It looks most impressive and, best of all, it's not vaporware. Jinef 2 Posted February 9, 2003 i downloaded AA:O and did the training and mout and stuff and got on to a attack and defend mission and it was like i was playing with a bunch of 5 year olds. It reminded me of counterstrike with loads of people spamming and no trace of tactics other than one which exploit flaws in the game design to gain advantage. I'm slightly offtopic but i say this every time someone mentions AA:O Oh and OFP multiplayer can be really good when you find a mature bunch of chaps playing co op or a good attack and defend (not CTF! which has lot's of tactics and less vehicles. GothicOne 0 Posted February 9, 2003 I tend to agree.
r71 0 Posted February 10, 2003 AA is a very good game, and they put a stop to alot of cheaters. For fast upclose action I play AA and for a war sim I play OFP.
