Hello there,

Neanderthal looking to ask some questions and maybe get them answered. Lets begin:

 

.1) the date today is 4/16/21

     I have purchased very very long ago: Arma 2, and operation arrowhead, AND dayz mod. Back then, the date was probably 2014s. i had a horrible computer that barely ran operation arrowhead but now the times have changed. I have a brand new system and it runs the base game very well.

 

.2) Back then. i had a friend of mine do something to where it got me to see some of the online servers. NOW, I come to this forum board to ask if people still play this game?

 

.3) most notably - There was a game mode where it would be you and a server full of other players fighting against an enemy that did not stop in PVE COMBAT. The rotation of enemies to spawn from town to town changed usually. If you died you could either spawn back at the airfiield or with your partner who was still engaging the enemy. This server was a milsim server and ill bet they dont have it anymore. the map i believe was tajikistan. Are there any more PVE servers like this one?

 

.4  Killing zombies is not preferred, i wish for PVE combat

This is the only server I know of, which is currently online from ArmA II Vanilla, ArmA II Operation Arrowhead servers can be seen going into multiplayer.

IP: E.AWG.io
Port: 2302

To enter this server you have to have the beta installed, so in steam go to the game, ArmA II right click then click on properties, then on Beta, and on the right side you select beta-beta.

Thanks Sarge, does arma ii and arma operation arrowhead both have to be beta ?

 

also, there are servers which count on values and properties that have been deleted, anything make sense there?

In ArmA 2 you must have the Beta installed, in ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead it is the same if you leave it in None or in Beta, since both are the same Build (1.64 Build 4366416), it seems that there will be no more betas or updates...

 So to play multiplayer most of the servers are in this version; For single player some people experienced some problems with version 1.64 and returned to 1.63 that appears as (Legacy), when returning to Legacy they solved it.
Going from one version to another is very fast because they are a few megabytes.

The values you are referring to I suppose are the details that appear when you touch a server on the list, if that is so, don't give it importance, the only thing you have to know to join a server is that you have the same mods than the server and the same version of the game.
