Custom compositions not saving

Custom compositions not saving and the Compositions folder is not created. What could be the problem?

- Select the entire Composition (drag over with mouse).

- Right-click OVER one of those Objects, select Create Composition.

- Note what Category it's saved in.

 

Compositions are saved under your Game Profile Folder (documents).

They are not saved in map/mission folders.

Hello, I'm having the same problem.
I did not find how to get rid of this problem, but I found a way to start using and create my own compositions.
Manually create a "compositions" folder in the profile folder, then ask the friend who saves the compositions to send you his composition. Or you can also find the composition on the Internet.
You should have a folder, it should contain two files "composition.sqe" and "header.sqe". Check if this composition is displayed in the game, if so, then this is very good.
Next, copy the folder with the composition, and add any letter or number at the end of its name. Then open the file "header.sqe", find the line "name=" ... "" and at the end of the name put the symbol that you set earlier. Next, we save. And open this composition in the editor and this composition should be displayed for you. Now you can update it, edit the title and author.

Solution is pretty hard but its true, you need to change your name of the user folder (C disk), there is multiple guide how to do that, arma doesnt take the russian/arabic/chinese/ etc letters as normal ones and cant find your user profile folder. Thats the reason why the compositions are not saving.
