NEW IDEAS

Recommended Posts

I have heard that they are going to launch a new editor. I hope this is not late...

I think that scripts are a good idea for mission editing, but creating missions is hard using scripts, people that work and study have not lots of time so....

Please add new waypoint orders (like get in, move, cycle,) that make easier some usual instructions: here are some ideas:

1) some orders to make Parachuters jump

2) to place satchell´s

3) a specific sniper order ( hide, and shoot).

4) A search for mines and satchells: and the posibility to deactivate them, of course...

I know these points are not too worked, but they´re only ideas. Please add more ideas or support....

I think addition of this orders as waypoint orders will make mission editing easier without cutting off the posibilities from scripts using...

I think i was dreaming about an editor for OFP that had built in scripts that worked in the GUI just like adding WP's and stuff is........

That was like a week ago... i was thinking the exact same things.......

You could also add more scipts to select from by puting new ones in a folder in the ofp directory........

So then you could have a box in the Init field for example where you could insert weapon scripts already built for you.... you know?

I think the best things they could add to the editor is easier Camera commands for better Intro's, Outro's and Cut-scenes.

Make it a #### of a lot easier to move the camera precisely... Even if say the player took control of the camera.. (ie. the player was a camera.) They clicked 'Record' moved the camera how they wanted it to move... then clicked 'stop recording'... moved to the next spot clicked 'record' etc.

Because in my mucking about type mission creations I have never got Cut-scenes and Intro's etc. down pat.

doesn't the built-in script camera.sqs does the recording stuff (eg creating a script file w/ the positions of camera when you hit the button)?
