MadMattUK 0 Posted January 21, 2003 Wondering if anyone can help me. When the direcX 9 BETA version was released i installed it on my system. I presumed when DirectX 9 FINAL RELEASE was issued it would uninstall the BETA version from my system. It has uninstalled most of it but when using 'dxdiag' it shows that several unsupported drivers are being used (ie  a bunch of old BETA ones) This has caused all my applications to recognise DirectX as being uncertified by Microsoft. Does anyone know how to remove these files or does anyone have the same problem. Here are the files still on my system: Microsoft.DirectX.AudioVideoPlayback.dll Microsoft.DirectX.Diagnostics.dll Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.dll Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.dll Microsoft.DirectX.DirectDraw.dll Microsoft.DirectX.DirectInput.dll Microsoft.DirectX.DirectPlay.dll Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound.dll Microsoft.DirectX.dll These are all version 5.03.0000.0308 and are all Beta Retail. The same files exist but for the Final Retail version 5.03.0000.0900. I have tried system restore but for some reason my computer does not wish to restore to pre-BETA time.  Help! kegetys 2 Posted January 21, 2003 Arent the DirectX betas for registered Microsoft betatesters only? If so and you are one of those, I would guess MS would help you to install the final version.
