Translating ArmA official/mod content

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I've been looking for information about translation needs in ArmA but didn't find much that's relevant in 2020. Does anyone know how I could make myself useful by translating English/German/French content for ArmA, whether it's official content or mods?

Just to give you some context, I'm a marketing translator and I'm looking to try and translate video game content from now on - since I'm a big ArmA player I thought why not try with a game I love first.

My idea is to provide volunteer translations/script writing (French only) if any modder is interested. If anyone knows of anyone who could potentially be interested, feel free to share.

Thanks for reading,

K

Well yeah ArmA is a 14 year old game. That has long been succeeded by its successor titles.

There are many open source Arma 3 projects that can use help with translations, but I don't know any ArmA projects that are still actively developed.

Here are some A3 projects:

Thanks for your reply and for the links 🙂

Obviously I was referring to the franchise and not the very first game, though I have heard of Arma 2 mods still going - I'll have a look.

I'll have a look and will do what I can to help the community!
