is this a glitch?

mi not sure if this is the right place for this but i just recently reinstalled arma 3 and went to start the game. the launcher loaded as normal and i pressed the yellow play button, everything was fine until the big ARMA III logo disappeared and it stuck me in Arma III Console Version 1.96.146114x86: port 2. then it loads three lines of code

14:08:47 BattlEye Server: Initialized (v1.217)
14:08:47 Game Port: 2, Steam Query Port: 3
14:08:47 Host identity created. 

 

and it just stops there, i attempted to go in without mods, it didn't help. i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and that wont help, and no matter how long i wait it stays the exact same. 
if someone knows a fix to this problem or can direct me to where i could get help it would be much appreciated :)

I assume you didn't want to run a dedicated server? The launcher has an option for that. It sounds like you've hit that at some point.
