scousejedi 0 Posted January 15, 2003 Actually Oxygen can be anywhere, it is the viewer, Bulldozer that has to be in a root directory. I unzipped O2 to c:\games\operationflashpoint\oxygen\*.* I unzipped Bulldozer to c:\*.* This is as per instructions in the readme file bulldozer comes with. Now when I am working on a project called say PantherG I save my files in c:\PantherG\*.* To get textures working you have to set the path to the DLLs. Make sure you do this in FILE OPTIONS. Then quit O2 and restart to see the changes. If you still can't see textures then are you trying to view a valid texture? Needs to be in a power of 2, so 128 x 128 or 256 x 512 etc. The best way is to follow Brsseb's tutorial. There is a link in the Oxygen Doc section of the forum. mooncaine 0 Posted February 7, 2003 I'm still a newb, but I discovered a few things about textures that you might also need to know: 1. TGA files would not load if I saved them with "RLE Compression" enabled. If I resaved them without RLE Compression, they would load .... 2. Textures can only be certain dimensions. Col. Klink's tute leads some of us to believe that any dimension divisible by 2 will work, but that's not precisely true. I'm no mathematician, but it seems the difference is that the dimension needs to be a *power* of 2. For our purposes, that pretty much means 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, etc. I thought that a 240 x 480 texture would work, for example, but--nope.
