Distribute sig sg552 commando released

Today I released the SIG SG552 commando with Aimpoint Comp ML2 red dot sight. This is a conversion+modifiaction of Neo Rae's SIG SG552 for Half-Life:Counter-Strike. The original model was actually a SIG SG551, with scope. I thought a red dot sight would better fit the SG552's purpose.

Highlights for this addon:

- realistic 1x magnification optics.

- Optics with visible structure.

- Optics tranparent left side, to emulate "both eyes open".

- Rate of fire equals rate of the real life weapons.

- First SIG SG552 in-game sound that features the "sound fork" effect of the flash hider

I love it.

Great gunsight - one of the better ones I have seen in a long time - would do to have the magnification up a little more - but not much.

All in all a great weapon and one that will be added to my arsenal.

Btw, I see that your website is about the Dutch Korps Mariners - when will we see some Dutch troops - I would really like to add them to my troops selection and create some Dutch missions/Campaigns.

That's some excellent work, I absolutely love the optics! I noticed that there is this small ringing sound at the end of the gunshot, maybe you should try taking that out. Besides that small nitpick, this is an excellent addon!

Thanks. Too bad I can only take the credit for the optics and sound.

The optics are exaclty the same magnification as the M16 and AK74 optics, which should be none at all. The Aimpoint Comp ML2 optics also have no magnification.

I actually think it might be better to make the view a bit wider, as it is a sight meant for close ranges. The reason I didn't do that is that it might take away the "OFP statistics compatability".

I am working on my new website www.korpsmariniers.com, wich means I have very little time. The reason I could sqeeze this gun out, is that I didn't make the model myself.

But yes, that is what I would REALLY like to make, even if it would be only one type of soldier model. UK forces mod gallantly provided me with some textures and models, so I might be able to get it done....

Hmmm.... welll I actually went to great lengths to get that ringing sound IN. Here's what the readme.txt has to say about it:

An SG552 owner living some 30 miles from me helped me to create the sound.
