desantnik 0 Posted January 3, 2003 This thing is sweet and on the site it says that now missiles no longer go through it. Get it from Flashpoint Ru Now along with Walkers WW-2 Russian weapons pack and the panzer From ofp.info.cz and the new German units from I44 mini demo the eastern front is almost, almost a reality! We just need textured Russian WW2 soldiers someone please help please! It is just one thing that is holding the eastern front from looking authentic!
USMC Sniper 0 Posted January 3, 2003 And the creator of the German Landser addon is making Soviet troops from WW2!!!
desantnik 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Who is as giddy about this as I am? Â I wish the would model the weapons well. The walker pack wasnt bad but the mosin nagant needs changing.
jotte 0 Posted January 3, 2003 It still have a Star Wars deflector shield. It takes an abnormal amount of 120-125 mm shells to knock out at point blank range, something the Panthers 75mm made scrapmetal of from a rather long distance already back in WW2. Very nice 3d though so I hope the creator fix the DM.
desantnik 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Jotte this model of the t-34 is early war from 1941 to 1942 because it still has the 76 mm main gun. Judging by why the author of this addon made it this way was that I think he wanted to make it reflect the shots off the armor like most German guns early in Barborrosa. You can still take the t-34 out with only 3 rpgs I think. He also fixed the missiles going through the turret in this version so I think it is rather nice. jotte 0 Posted January 3, 2003 I'm perfectly aware of what model it is. The fact remain that instead of being modelled towards "immunity" (which it really wasn't either due to variouse reasons) to the Pz IVF's KWK 75L24 it is now just as immune to the modern 125mm guns. Â A 84 mm RCL takes it out in one shot but the tank guns don't do much damage. And the tracks should still be possible to damage easier with even the Pz IVF's "puny" gun. Right now it is more of a KV-1 then a T-34 in regards to tank guns. Did some more testing now and now all of a sudden the T-34's nicely sucumbs to the 120 and 125 mm guns. Looks like I might have had a freak occurance with my previouse tests.
desantnik 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Jotte bear with me here. Â The reason I said this was an early war type was that the author must have wanted to make it work against the panzer released with it. I think he modeled it that way to make the shells seemingly bounce off of the armor of the T-34 like with the underpowered guns of the early panzers in the war also making all the other tank guns ammo bounce off accidentally. I think he did this so he wouldnt have to lower the penetration rates or dammage amounts of the guns of the t-34 or panzer. What do you think? edit: oops didnt read your post correctly Yes your are right.
jotte 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Ooops i better not have editing open while testing Might have been me that had the wrong version befor by accident. I've been doing more tests now and while not perfect (what is? ) it is very much imporeved overall in v 1.1. Kudos to the creator for the rapid update. Hope he makes a just as nice T-34/85 and a Panther tank and maybe even a KV-1.
GeneralMortars 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Congratulations! A real great piece of tank i think! Has also a real nice engine-sound, what in my oppinion is important for a realistic kind of addon. Only thing that could be improved is the fact there's the same interior used as for T72, and the commander's odd sitting position when hatchs are open. Regardless the mentioned drawbacks, my first impression is amazing! It inspires me sumhow to do WWII stuff on my own! *think*

pzvg 0 Posted January 4, 2003 Judging from old photos I have, there's nothing "odd" about the commander's sitting position in turn out mode, they did sit like that. So far I've used this to add to my stable; T34/85 <never will release this turret is waaay too ugly> SU-85 <this may see a release if I can get in touch with the T34's maker, does he understand English?>
