How can I apply patches/insignia to units in editor?

I believe this feature was around a while ago, but I've heard that you need to use the complete arsenal in order to apply patches (the one you find in the about tab.) Is it possible to add patches/insignia in editor?

Edit unit > Identity > Insignia

Where can I find edit unit? When I right click on the unit I don't see edit unit or identity.
