We are a no frills organization who work on teamwork and professionalism within our training and operations. SBS aims to be small and elite, so we dont just take anyone, The minimum age to join is 18 with no exceptions. We take recruits with or without experience, and new members have the choice to either attend our basic training package or dive straight into selection. Our Operations/Campaigns are all custom built in house missions where we strive to create realistic scenarios the real SBS may find themselfs in. Process Once you have filled out an application form on our website a member of the unit will contact you with the next steps. You will be asked to attend a short interview process on TeamSpeak where a selection date will be offered to you. Upon passing selection you will then be a full member of the unit and continuation training in more advanced area's begin. Maverick-sbs- 1 Posted July 15, 2018 Current Operations: Whilst currently being attached to Task Force Renegade (TFR), TFR is a joint NATO Task Force set up to deal with world wide terrorism. TFR consists of a number of small SF and INT teams located around the world ready to operate anywhere in any conditions at a moments notice. A Task Force Renegade Team (TFRT) will usually operate from its own country and come directly under the TFR Director (TFRD) for the area they are located in, The Task Force areas are spit into continents and each continent is split into four areas, North, South, East & West. Our area is:Europe/Middle East Code name Viper We are North :1 so our C/S is Viper-1. The areas have nothing to do with where teams will operate, Missions will be given to the TFRT that is free at that time,If there are a number of teams free then it will go to the closest team, or the TFRT that can deploy the quickest, Although other factors are take into account, such as, if a team has more expertise in a certain field that would be more beneficial for that team to deploy on that op. The UKSF commitment is on going, and will be split between the SAS and SBS, on two to three month rotations. Whilst on TFR duties the team will not be under UKSF or DSF. There will also be a team from MI6 working with the UKSF TFRT. As a TFRT our missions will be mostly one off direct action. BACKGROUNDIn Detail: Following on from the TFR order our next tasking and area of operations is the south east corner of Ukraine. Ukraine became gripped by unrest in early 2014 when president Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign an association agreement with the EU. This demanded closer ties with the EU and the ousting of Yanukovych. This movement was ultimately successful and saw Yanukovych removed. Russsian Speaking eastern and southern Ukraine saw huge levels of escalating uprising as this is where the traditional support of Yanukovych was. Rioting, stabbings and civil unrest soon escalated into separatist rebels taking to arms. Although cease fires were agreed these have been frequently broken. Adding to this attacks on members of the press have been frequent. The complication in this issue is separatists are backed by Russia with weapons and funding. The area is heavily populated with civilians throughout its towns and cities and there are large open wooded areas and grasslands. temperatures are in the mid 20s as Ukraine is in the height of summer. Geographic Details: Ukraine is positioned in Eastern Europe lying on the northern shores of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, it borders a number of European countries such as Poland, Slovakia and Hungary in the west, Belarus in the north, Moldova and Romania in the south-west and Russia in the east. The total geographic area of Ukraine is 603,550 square kilometres 7% of the Donetsk area is made up of alpine forests and the Carpathian Mountains stretch across eastern Ukraine. The country's highest point is located there at Hoverla Mountain, at 2061 m. The Donets river runs through the city to the south Ukraine is bordered by 3,783 kilometres (2,351 mi) of coastline. The border with Russia is the country's longest border - it runs in part through the Sea of Azov. It is characterised by a significant proportion of Russian-speaking population and the region is completely integrated with a marine and shipbuilding industry. III. SITUATION Intelligence and satellite imagery gathered by the SIS(MI6) has detected that separatists rebels are attempting to assemble new SURFACE TO AIR MISSILE technology outside the city of DONETSK south east Ukraine. It is feared that this could pose a severe threat to the civil aviation industry after the loss of MH370 a Malaysian airliner that was destroyed by a Russian made SAM whilst cruising over Ukrainian airspace. Although flight routes have changed since this it is feared that the range of the new technology may be able to reach into civil airspace. The rebels have also kidnapped a scientist named Dr Jerzy Kowalczuk he became famous for developing naval radar system for Yanukovych government and with his expertise could have the systems in working order within 30 days. The compound at OBJ GENEVA is still being set up and Intel suggests construction only started 3 days ago. It is imperative we execute the mission as soon as possible as the defences are still light as the project progresses the defences will increase. We will execute an offensive assault onto an industrial compound namely Objective GENEVA 1000m east of Donetsk. Once secure we will destroy all SAM system technology and collect any relevant intelligence from the site before extracting to the north. The secondary objective namely SURGE will be the responsibility of A/12 this is the generator cell that supplies power for lighting the primary objective. Disabling this will ensure complete cover for the assault team. This operation is deniable failure is not an option and nor is capture any knowledge of our involvement could have severe political consequences. IV. MISSION We will execute an offensive assault onto an industrial compound namely Objective GENEVA 1000m east of Donetsk. Once secure we will destroy all SAM system technology and collect any relevant intelligence from the site before extracting to the north. The secondary objective namely SURGE will be the responsibility of A/12 this is the generator cell that supplies power for lighting the primary objective. EXECUTION This will be a 5 phase operation: PHASE 1 M Sqn/F COY will insert to the designated insertion point approx 1500m east of Donetsk by assault boat. once landed M SQN will advance to PL BRONZE and cross over the main road which links Shakhtars'k to Donetsk. Once across M Sqn/F COY will advance to OP Phoenix. PHASE 2 Once we reach OP Phoenix we will conduct reconnaissance. F Coy B/41ill maintain an overwatch position while M SQN advance to Phase Line SILVER and through to PL SAPPHIRE. PHASE 3 Upon Reaching PL SAPPHIRE A/11 will hold position. A/12 Will break away and covertly advance to Objective SURGE intel suggests that located a OBJ SURGE there is a generator stack which supplies the lighting for the compound. Once A/12 is in position A/11 will advance to PL AMBER. PHASE 4 As A/11 is advancing A/12 will disable the generator and take up positions in OBJ SURGE where they are able to cover the north side of OBJ GENEVA. Once at PL AMBER A/11 will cut through the perimeter fence using bolt cutters and the code word HAWAII will be given this is when the assault will start with A/11 moving tactically through OBJ GENEVA and A/12 & B-40 static at OBJ PHOENIX/SURGE providing fire support. Phase 5 Once the compound is clear of enemy presence A/11 Will then place explosive charges onto the SAM apparatus and secure DR Jerzy Kowalczuk.
