colonel_klink 0 Posted December 13, 2002 1. By closing the formation in the cpp of my Skyhawk ( re-release immenint) by changing the values of these values: formationX=50; formationZ=50; formationTime=5; I have noticed that the pilots do fly in a tighter formation, however when I do a sharp turn the ai keep going and take forever to return to formation. Like 27km away. 2. Also, as been noted in another thread, the AI don't land when given the disembark command. Is there something I am missing or have i given wrong values somewhere. Really good news: the planes don't smash into each other.. and gone is that annoying "Where are you?". Now if we could stop choppers from hitting each other and give the ai pilots better vision.... DragoFire 0 Posted December 13, 2002 I've got a problem with AI not landing on the runway when you tell too, they just keep cirlling the runway till you tell them to stop or they run out of fuel.

walker 0 Posted December 13, 2002 Hi all I also have problem with gung-ho pilots. I have a Command Engine Air Cavalry mission with a light battalion of troops and required Helicopters. When setting up the LZ I have to clear several nests of AA mixed MGs, Shilkas, and AA soldiers. I try to do this with a scout group to spot but the minute the Helis see ground stuff they attack; disaster. The helis then romp off round the map attacking everything in sight and I loose a scout wing. I want them to pop the site over some trees and lase the targets to let the apaches deal with it. What setting do we need to make to prevent this idiocy? Kind Regards walker
colonel_klink 0 Posted December 14, 2002 another update. Autoland pilots go into a waiting pattern.. circling higher and higher.. which makes me wonder what the I in AI means... Idiots? Ah well back to the drawing board on this one I guess.

I assume OFP Soldiers really haven't more brain like an ant, coz prior to doesn't slow down the CPU even more they have only a limited choice of getting information. Of the enviroment and the enemy appearance and such. But sure they doesn't know where the next Burger King is located, or not?! Regards GM
