Gravis eliminator, ms sidewinder precision pro --

Recommended Posts

Hello to all. It's been a while. I’ve researched this topic on our web site, and could not find any relevant info on same, so I’ll pose the question to you all. First off -- Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. Oh -- by the way I've written to Santa, and asked him to bring everyone on this fantastic list, extra gifts this year... So don’t be surprised if you find a lovely Blond, Brunette, Abrahams MA1A– or something other that you desire under the tree. Notice that I didn’t say Blond or Brunette what, that’s up to you. BKGRND: I've been mainly using the Mouse and the Keyboard as my input device of choice for OFP/Resistance and the like. I also have the MS SideWinder Pro joystick which I haven’t used too much, as of yet. I recently picked up a MS Sidewinder Wheel and a Gravis Eliminator game pad to complete my input selection for games and other programs… QUESTION: Has anyone had any experience with setting up OFP to work with anything other than the Mouse/Keyboard? I’ve tried flying some of the aircraft using the keyboard, and the joystick with limited results. I.e. I can land with most of the BIG parts, but the little ones get lost in the crater that I make when I land... How about the Gravis? Has anyone tried this device? Please help – as My Commander won’t let me fly or operate any more vehicles until I pay back the motor pool and Base Ops for all the scrap parts I have lying around. P.S. This also goes for input devices like the Gravis Game-Pad being used for Troop movement, and other such things. Thanks in Advance. Uncle Ho Ho Ho? : ) enjoy

I haven't tried using a wheel, but did consider buying one recently since they where really cheap. But i do use joystick in ofp. I find that it is easier to control planes using the mouse, but uses the joystic for making really wild manuevers in the plane. On the other hand i wouldn't want to fly choppers without my joystick again. It makes it possible to do a lot of things i wouldn't be able to do otherwise, like droppingpeople of at rooftops, quick wingover landings or similar things. I wouldn't be able to hover as easily without autohover if it wasn't for the stick either.
