Allusion22 0 Posted March 9, 2018 So, I have started to make custom clothing for gangs on my server, but when I pull up the textures for the clothing they are green, how could I make these black, I know this sounds very newby, but how could i keep the "Folds" and stuff and not just make the color of the image all black because that ruins it... So how could I turn this from green to black without ruining the texture? thanks!

Rich_R 1087 Posted March 9, 2018 There are a LOT of tutorials around for this. The basics of retexturing is the same for Arma 2 as much as its for Arma 3. Obviously you need to follow the guidelines for the most current configs, but the principles behind customizing the artwork of textures is the same. Here's the best result that came from a quick google search 'arma retexturing" Templates can be found here and here If you cant find the uniform you want, dig out the original you're going to replace it with, use an editing program such as photoshop or Gimp and do the following Save the original on one layer Desaturate a duplicate layer (should be a very light grey but dark enough to keep the 'wrinkles' etc) Put the colors over the areas you want The next step depends on what gives the best effect Set the grey layer to a blend (overlay, etc) OR set the color layer to a blend Is this a perfect way? No. Are there people who can create overlay layers that are amazing? Yep! But this is a quick example of how to get your custom uniform into the game. Between this and the tutorials above, all you need is a lot of time and even more patience:) Have fun!
