End of mission rating (score)

I've Googled and not found an answer.

At the end of a mission (SP) official Campaign, in the after action report, it shows a rating. How is the calculated ? What is a good/average rating ?

If I remember right, it was depending on how many enemies have been killed, how many of your men died, and the mission creator can influence it via increasing / decreasing the score once something happens (task completed, task failed, etc). All in all I personally never cared much about it, as it really doesn't serve a purpose at all, unless you want to compare player performance in multiplayer.

For singleplayer folks, the score pretty much means nothing.
