giskard 0 Posted December 12, 2001 I have been talking this over with my own clan and most of the members seem to feel and propare in game lobby is required. I happen to agree with them on this point. The gamespy software is bulky and slow. It is not without its problems either. Even if BIZ were to add a dedicated gamespy lobby to the game directly, it would be an improvement over what we have right now. Such an addition could then also allow server side logging via the interface and many other items players like to have. Right now, the finding and joining of a game is OFP's weakest point. It makes it hard for clans to recruit new members and hard for those members to find each other in games. Most of the people in my own clan hate gamespy arcade and are refusing to install it. Saying its a bulky, buggy and long winded way of finding games. I would not mind having to wait for such a lobby to appear in some future mission pack but it would be nice to know it was in the works. RN Malboeuf 12 Posted December 12, 2001 yea it would be nice They way i see, Voice is taken over, most of our sister Roughnecks squadrons use voice instead of a our msg boards and I like many are there to play, not chat in a lobby so i wont miss it if they on't add it and yes GSA sux We should get the all seeing Eye to do some thing like this, I'm going to post a message on thier board that asks for minlobbies, one Lobby is to much since there can be over 2000 players at a time allso addon dloads from the all seeing eye would be nice for all the games it suports Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

rekrul 7 Posted December 13, 2001 That's a great idea actually. Ppl could meet there, announce that a game starts at this and that server in 2 mins, and those interested could go there. giskard 0 Posted December 13, 2001 I dont see why they cannot use the gamespy network for this without having to make their own arrangements. Once you skip passed all the other bits gamespy has to offer that nobody wants the system should be very useable.
