How to deal with the massive FPS drops?

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi to all,

My Lenovo Y-700-15ISK's specs are: i7-6700 HQ 2.60 GHz (up to 3.50 GHz) CPU,

16 GB DDR4 RAM and Nvidia GTX 960 M 4 GB GDDR5 GPU.

I have overclocked the both CPU and GPU!And I've never had any problems with theirs temperatures!

Sometimes, when I play ArmA 3 I get huge FPS drops (from 60 to 20 FPS!) which makes the game almost unplayable!Like while I started playing the Advanced Fierce Combat!

I would please someone to tell me how do I deal with the annoying FPS drops, and also to tell me what are the best settings for ArmA 3 in NVIDIA Control Panel and the best in-game settings for me of course (GTX 960 M 4 GB GPU)!

Great thanks to all of you who are helping me,and for the fast and reliable support!

Thanks to all in advance!

Best regards!

You can do nothing sadly the game suffers fps drops in every single battle inside a city, in the outdoors theres fps drops but no so important.

I suggest:

Mechanical HD: Complete defrag after install or update Arma 3, after installing mods too.

Change your memory manager ( Read the entire thread):

Reduce the distance view inside cities.

Get yourself SSD, create new steam library there, move the whole A3 folder. I'm sure this will help.
