Set helicopter`s altitude

Is there any way I could make a helicopter fly at the altitude of 30 meters? I tried 

_helicopter flyInHeight 30 but it doesn`t work. It always just flies at 55 meters, however if I do 

_helicopter flyInHeight 500 then it does fly at 500 meters. Does that just mean that you can`t set helicopters altitude lower than 55?

Well this has come up many times. Just did a quick search. Read through the entire thread. Seems like it is still not quite right. Someone can correct me if they know otherwise.
