Localising custom sound

G'day all

 

I have a radio object that is going to spawn radio chatter when the trigger surrounding it is activated. So far I have this in OnActivation:

 

wireless say ["radio", 1, 1];

 

...where "radio" is the sound class, and "1, 1" are max distance (metres) and pitch. While the sound activates and plays successfully, I can hear the sound further than the 1m required.

Anybody know why this might be?
