l4z0rr0b0tz 46 Posted April 19, 2017 Hey all! What is a good resource to get royalty-free satellite maps? I have been using USGS earth explorer to search for good looking satellite maps but I haven't been able to find as high-resolution of maps there. Am I allowed to use google maps images or DigitalGlobe images in my maps for non-commercial purposes? DigitalGlobe seems to be very high quality but I'm not sure what the licensing terms are. It looks like google will let you use their stuff for non-commercial purposes if you attribute it properly?https://zoom.earth/#47.308103,-122.729645,10z,sathttps://www.google.com/permissions/geoguidelines/attr-guide.html I think I know what I'm doing but any guidance would be helpful! bmcook 14 Posted May 3, 2017 Try SAS Planet; https://bitbucket.org/sas_team/sas.planet.bin/overview It's open source but the documentation seems to be only in Russian. You can look up some videos to get an understanding on how to use this.
