HuBBa 1 Posted May 4, 2002 Suma, i think this one's for you. I wonder if you have any more dll class'es to open up O2 with such as the gif/tga loaders. I was thinking of making a LWO (Lightwave Object) importer. the LWO format is pretty simple and has one major advantage. Layered objects. It's a godsend to have all LOD's in a layer for each (just like O2 really). the sad part becomes when you have to export them to 3ds (which btw lw sucks at) and then import that into O2. In fact, i always have to go to wavefront OBJ first then to 3DS through Polytrans. A bit of a hassle. Now the real question is (as i am well aware that you guys are busy as hell) if there is any possibility for one of us to write such a import plugin in the future. I know there are a lot of Lightwave users on this forum who would appreciate it a lot. Me i've been writing LW plugins since version 4.0 =) /HuBBa Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
PSC 0 Posted May 4, 2002 Hey HuBBa, I would send you a kiss in a letter if you make me a Cinema 4D to OË› converter. Actually Cinema 4D does not rock when exporting to 3DS too, so I have to take the roundabout route (c4d --> obj --> 3ds --> p3d) as well.
