Shooting to the side.....

Recommended Posts

Ok, figured out my idiotic holding problem. Now, the thing is, it shoots from the side. Now, this is NOT a DePBO problem. This is an all new model from scratch. I have made all the points on the memory LOD correctly. The thing is, when i first tested my gun, it worked fine, shot straight and everything. But i made a few fixes, which was just moving the gun on the plane, and scaling a little bit. I moved all the points accordingly, but it shoots to the side. Like i said, i didn't change them around, or the name. I put them exactly where they were before. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Much appreciated......

P.S.

I also cannot get the sounds I put to work for the life of me. Do they have to be .ogg, cause i have seen some that are .wav. And what are the khz settings for the sounds etc...etc...

Pins, this MUST be a memory LOD problem. You messed up some of the point for sure biggrin.gif

I saw this error with one of my weapons, too.

The sounds are defined in the config.cpp, make sure the various paths are correct. They can be eithet *.WAV or *.WSS format. Get the OFP cool Editor as it has an intergrated *.WAV to *.WSS converter which may help but *.WAV files should work as they do for other addon weapons so why should newly created *.P3D weapons be different.

*repeatedly beats self with shoe*

Ok, turns out, my dumb-ass somehow changed the Memory LOD to "View Cargo" or something. I had it on memory at first, but i really have no idea how it got changed. And whats worse, i didn't even notice. O well, i'm a moron and chicken still tastes like chicken. biggrin.gif
