nik 0 Posted October 20, 2002 Exists an automatic function to set the road way lod on the object? So that the hole object, building, is walkable and so that you don´t have to set all roadway lods manuelly? I´m not lazy, but I can´t see anything because of thousends of lines. Is there a function like for the geometry lod? It is a pain to set the road way lod manuelly. Also with the manuelly method it is impossible to make curved objects and very complex ones. nik 0 Posted October 20, 2002 But maybe I have a solution. I will try it, but answer if you knew one. Maybe I have to copy and set the building a bit upwards and hope this works.
der bastler 0 Posted October 20, 2002 Perhaps... Duplicate resolution lod and change the copy's type to roadway-lod. Look at the roadway-lod from the side/front and delete visible faces (walls). After roadway-lod creation: Ctrl+A Transform3D: y = +0.
nik 0 Posted October 20, 2002 I have done It You have to make exact the same as in the Geometry lod Create a road way lod and: Go to Structure->Topology->Find Components and than to Structure->Convexity->Component Convex hull. Thats all (Maybe you all have knew it before, but for me it is a celebration day! )
nik 0 Posted October 20, 2002 Ok it works, but there is a problem: If you have a plane ground with a little wall, you walk in the air above the plane. But I think its a problem with the hull function, but not realy a problem, I think. Does anybody know, how to make it more praezise?
