Rob 1 Posted December 17, 2001 i have the same problem with the sounds. every says they use cool edit but i have that as well and it dont work. if u download operation firelord, a single mission from here the maker has got the most detailed sounds i have ever heard and no one can aswer y they r so good cuz no one know the maker. well i do but he wont send the sounds and also even when he gave me a couple they were already coded. i hope they bring out some program or software that will make the sounds as good as some games like CS. Bloodmixer 0 Posted December 17, 2001 Well, to get *really* good sounds, it helps if you are into composing. From the interviews, I know BIS probably used a studio with voice actors. A good studio has a lot of hardware to surpress noise, enhance certain frequency bands, that make it all more real and professional. *BUT* if you buy a good microphone, from $40 upwards, and if you have a reasonable sound card (SB Live!/512) or a great soundcard (SB Audigy Platinum) you can get very far. If you want really good voices, maybe you can ask your local theatre company :) or....simpler, your family/friends. Perhaps an uncle that has served in the army ?
