I have exactly the same problem. I can load models from the Data3D and some of them show the textures in Bulldozer.

(I've set it up in a virtual drive etc...)

If I want to texture it keeps telling me "texture not loaded". It's driving me insane and I'm basically stuck in a tutorial. I've done everything it said.

ANY help would be welcome.

I guess there are many folks out there who might wanna try to create their own addons but..lol!....O2 sure is a whole new ball game.

I had my share of frustrations with bulldozer and O2 trying to get it configure right and then spent 5 successive nights just trying to texture the container's pic to the box.

But thanks to folks here for their post and who took the time to reply and even gave tutorials online i believe the learning curve can be shortened and more folks can create even more awesome addons soon as more of them are getting aquainted to ofp.

I kinda did everything the tutorials said but i just cant get the damn texture mapped. I was ready to throw in the towel and Jane's Book of Fighting Equipment for addon ideas, but because of the efforts of people like kegetys and many more who created addons even without O2 that made OFP fun for so many of us, i persevered and continued trying.

Finally, thanks to der bastler, i managed to get it. But only after i created the folder 'crate' directly in my C root drive - C:\crate and place the textures inside there. It seems the texture application code cannot read too long a file, eg. C:\programme files\Flashpoint\O2\crate\side.pac. Even then i had to enter my tex path in the face properties dialoge:- crate\side.pac.

My point for this post is that if u are really serious about wanting to create addons for yourself or the community but gave up on O2, remember:-

1. Not all computers are configured the same

2. O2 works - it does...many will testify no matter what computer u have. ( mine is with the via chipset problem)

3. Play around with your computer for u are the best person on hand to find the remedy and search the post here for answers, it might help shorten your learning curve.

All the best! In OFP the only limit is your imagination & desire.

(sorry for the long post! tounge.gif )
