navydoctom 0 Posted July 13, 2016 A suggestion - can we make aircraft in general assess the terrain around them so when you set a specific alt to fly at (say 2000) is doesn't try to fly relative to the terrain height? For instance - If I'm on a map where the highest point is say 500 meters, and I set my "this flyinheight" to 1500, its not going to fly at a (for lack of a better word) radar height of 1500 meters, but fly at 1500 meters above sea level? If that makes sense.
f2k sel 164 Posted July 13, 2016 Has something changed with flyinheight (2000) would usually just have the AI fly in circles and not follow waypoints anyway. Aircraft should be able to fly at a set height using the new command Heliname flyInHeightASL [200, 100, 400]; ASL being above see level 200 = safe/careless 100 = combat 400 = stealth The aircraft still seemed to be responding to terrain the last time I checked although I wasn't looking closely at that aspect. I was checking flyinheight in general as it's now broken in Tanoa, aircraft will not fly lower than around 35 meters, they work fine on other maps. I can't check anything right now as a couple of hardrives have died.
