TB crash (ctd) on save

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with TB.

without a reason when i work my island , sometimes i get crash to desktop when i press the save project button. (i get the ctd when TB tries to save Headers )

the only way to get my work back is to create a new project (set again my terrain , satmap , sat mask), build the libraries  again, and then import my objects from txt files.

then i can save my work until this happend again. (this is the 3rd time)

i notice that when this happens , the libraries meshed up for some reason . some objects change to other object (boulders changes to plants etc).

bug ?????

now i cant import my libraries or objects.

I get ctd on every save.

without libraries i can save .

i notice that i have problems only with big libraries (800kb) and objects (40 mb ) because i have up to 2096537 objects in use.

So, now i cant continue my island because of this....

i have a copy of my island that i can open , export anything , but if i press save then ctd.

i try to open my wrp (import map in new project) . i get all my objects and i can work only with the libraries i get from the import. if i try to add new library (structure_f as example)  when i save then ctd

what is going on? its a bug?

DEVS know that?

thanks

after dozens of tests and alchemys, no luck. I cant continue my work , and its a lot of work!!

i need to understand how TB libraries and object layers related

if i have libraries with the same objects but renamed and i import my objects txt , TB complains about missing libraries (need the libraries names when the objects created).

i see that in my object export txt there is not information about the libraries that the objects need . only positioning.

How TB on new project know the libraries of my old project  object.txt export file???

also , i see in my project folder some v4d.bak files . i revert to those (renamed without .bak , but nothing happens......same problems) what is the purpose of those v4d.bak files?

ps  if any DEV read this topic , please post that you have informed. Αt least not i post injustice :)

i have also TerrainBuilder.exe.3364.dmp file created after the crash.....

thanks in advance
