FSM Editor Shortcut Keys

Recommended Posts

I'm currently trying to get my head around a problem in the FSM editor. For me, the shortcut keys do not seem to be working!

I have the FSM editor installed with the Arma 3 Tools Steam Package, and this is installed on my C:/ drive. To open the editor, I first run the tools package as an Administrator, then run the FSM Editor as an Administrator. With the FSM open I try to use the shortcut keys (e.g. F2 to create a new state, F3 to link the states) but the keys do not seem to be registered when pressed. I am now at a loss as to why this is happening. I verified the tools package multiple times, so I do not believe it was an issue with the download.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is there a way to fix this? If you wish to view logs, dumps or system specs please ask :)

Kinds Regards,

Bull

Unfortunately , this is a well know issue which lacks of a solid 100% repro. Usually, a simple restart of the FSM Editor is enough to solve the issue.

If you find a solid repro, feel free to share it :)

Is there any configuration file / log files that I can look into? It seems that this issue has started only with the latest updates. I can still use the shortcuts on the older versions of the editor

This is happening for me. I haven't used the FSM editor in a while, just upgraded to windows 10 (no idea if that has anything to do with it). No shortcut keys are working, including delete, which is the only way of deleting links without getting rid of the knees between them (you can't select a link line, which means you can't manually delete it by clicking the red X icon at the top). This is a major pain.

EDIT: bitched about it before I'd tried a reinstall - it works now. Try that first.

EDIT: Spoke too soon. They work now maybe half the time when I open the FSM. I might have to restart it 3 or 4 times before the keys work.
