Sandstorm Damage Seems Excessive

Just some feedback regarding sandstorms and rovers ... moderate sandstorms have a tendency to crack the glass on cameras and even rip them off and critically damage rovers and landers to the point to where they are unusable.

 

This just doesn't seem very realistic as we've had rovers on mars for a very long time and none of the science equipment has been damaged to the extent that is happening in TKOM.  We're talking a large lander getting "Emergency Landing" crippled on it's initial descent and all of the cameras broken!
