tazmania720 16 Posted January 2, 2016 What would be the best way to make a sharp 90 degree turn with two roads? I have tried using two separate lines that are not connected and it looks horrible. Thanks.
kerkkoh 35 Posted January 2, 2016 I know exactly how hard this is, but the reality is that you just can't make those perfect 90 degree grid plans or just intersections with shapefiles. Best option is to use road p3ds and place them down in some 3d editor like Map Builder or xCam unless you want to actually just start trying to get the roads as close as possible to 90 degree angles by hand. Another option is to have all your 90 degree angle intersections go directly west-east and south-north so you can use the terrain builder's own cursor to help you make 90 degree angle intersections. Sorry for my bad instructions, I just woke up.
Richie 330 Posted January 2, 2016 You can't do it without it being an object, best you could do are T junctions by snapping the other road to the vertice.
tazmania720 16 Posted January 2, 2016 Thanks for the knowledge!!! I had a feeling that was going to be the answer, but I was being hopeful. NOW, what if someone were to make a "T", "+", or 90deg .p3d? Do you think the software would support such an option?
Richie 330 Posted January 2, 2016 I'm pretty sure the E76 pack includes them, can't find the link though
kerkkoh 35 Posted January 4, 2016 https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/162730-applegate-community-project-wip/ If you want to use those, they include some intersections, but all Arma 2 roads should include intersection p3ds as well because back then we didn't have shapefiles.
