Dedicated server (0 ping and nobody else can find the server)

Recommended Posts

Hello

I'm close to setting up my server, but when I start it, it says this:

https://gyazo.com/267e8e717a0409dde5fbd54ccc25bd07

My shortcut target line contains this:

C:\Users\Zaman\Desktop\Games\ArmA3\A3Master\arma3\arma3server.exe "-profiles=D:\Games\Arma3\A3Master" -port=2302 -config=CONFIG_server.cfg -world=empty -BEpath=D:\Games\ArmA3\A3Master\

My server files are here:

https://gyazo.com/34eb7e16467d51f28e3a1e961da0f3ac

A3Master contents:

https://gyazo.com/f7bc5ba7bcd1872d2d1a0f01246c1ed6

A3Files contents:

https://gyazo.com/1195bfdfd6e6f52d38273e955f65952f

I don't know what I did wrong. Can someone help me please?

(All ports are forwarded and server.exe is added to exceptions in firewall)

EDIT: The error only occurs when removing "-profiles=D:\Games\Arma3\A3Master" from the shortcut target line.

EDIT: I've used TADST tool to create a new server and it went well, but I have portforwarded both steam and server ports. But only I can find the server but it's showing 0 ping and if I join, I have 0 ms. Nobody else can find my server. The IP that works to find the server is 192.168.0.168 (found by cmd ipconfig) . Although that doesn't look good. When typing in IP in google it shows another ip 78.21.184.124. But with that IP I can't find the server. What's the problem here?

Your server is in your local LAN (192.168.0.168)

The IP Google shows (78.21.184.124) is your visible IP from your router.

What is happening is that for computers on your local area network, the server is internal, for clients connecting through the outside (did you enable UPNP?) the server IP is 78.21.184.124.

If you want to play with friends on your local server, give them your current outside IP (some ISPs will reassign a new IP every 24 hours) to connect or invite them to your game via Steam.
