In need of scripting help on several things for a persistent mission.

Hi all,

 

I am in need of some help putting together a new mission/gamemode. Specifically I need people skilled in writing scripts that accomplish certain things. what those things are I will get into below. I will begin by stating that the idea for the mission/game-mode (not sure what to call it) came about after I became bored with Exile/Epoch and Wasteland. Originally, I was joined by another guy who took control of the design and half of the development leaving me to handle the ALiVE and ACE3 section. Recently, he decided on the drop of a hat to take a leave of absence leaving me high and dry without his notes to work from. Therefore, I am trying to finish it without his help. So, I am looking for some assistance. The mission is of course GPLv3 protected and all credit will be given where due.

 

The premise is that there are 3 Factions (kinda like Wasteland) except that only one of them is Player controlled (Independent). The other two factions (BluFor/OpFor) are AI controlled. The Player faction is hostile like in Wasteland. They are not all on the same side but can group up to become 'friendly'. The two AI factions are constantly vying for control over the entire island and players have to do missions for the local black market organization on the island to get supplies. This means that they may from time to time cross paths with either of the AI factions including missions like assassinations. 

 

I am working on the ALiVE and ACE3 parts mainly and the mission will be based on one of Icebreaker's islands. Most likely Lingor.

 

What I need specifically help on are the following:

 

  • Spawn/Respawn system (spawn random or on friendly group - ties in with ALiVE grouping system)
  • Economy system (currency, stores, auction house, and so on)
  • Snap-building (like that found in Exile and Epoch or iBuild)
  • Crafting system (part of building system most likely. crafting weapons and ammo etc)
  • Resources system to tie into the Crafting and Building and Economy.
  • Making logistics work (towing, building, etc.....most likely use as much of ACE3 logistics as possible)
  • making sure that ACE3 medical ties into the entire system
  • Adding and integrating one of the Radio systems ACRE2/TFAR. I am leaning more towards ACRE2 but......
  • Economy should be player driven.
  • Someone to help tie ALiVE into player functions like missions and rewards.

 

As far as missions go, When players complete a mission assigned to them by the ALiVE system, they should receive a supply drop in the area of the completed mission.

 

The mission will aim to be running 24/7 like an MSO/ALiVE mission that runs for months at a time. that way, players can hop on and off as they choose. And with the AI factions, there will never be a lack of battle to be had.
