MacMorty 0 Posted October 15, 2002 i tryed to run linux beta on my redhat 7.3 servers but my efforts are in vain so far. i startet the *.shar file ( after installing some libs ) and it convertet everyting to lower. then if i want to start the server ... there is nothing .. no error msg and no entrys in out.log and err.log. [root@cs006 ofp.test]# ./server-1.85b.shar Operation Flashpoint Resistance dedicated server 1.85b x - creating lock directory x - extracting server (binary) x - extracting tolower.cpp (binary) Converting OFP directory: 1 file-names were converted then: [root@cs006 ofp.test]# ./server > out.txt 2> err.txt & [1] 2599 but the process does not show up in the process list ... has a time to live from less than 0.1 sec. testet on a sun cobalt LX50 ( dual tualatin 1.4 2 gig ram ), dual pIII 1000 2 gig ram. os is always Linux RedHat 7.3 ( dont tell me suse etc... to use 4 servers, thats 4 clients :Å¢ ) any suggestins are very well appreciated .. rgds mac Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
