About loading textures

Recommended Posts

Why is it that in tutorials, ppl always say to load a texture for a thing to base your model on. When I press A and then right click and select a texture, nothing appears in the damn box, and in screenshots of O2 it always shows a picture in the box. WTF am I doing wrong, and please someoen reply!!  mad.gif

I searched, came up with no info. And please reply, unlike in most f****** Oxygen Beginner threads! mad.gif

OK try it this way:

Go to the Surface menu and click on Set Background Texture. The mouse pointer will change. Move it into a modeling window and drag out your texture box (by holding down left click and dragging). Now, right click in the resulting box and select Load Texture (the first option). Finally, select your texture.

It works, believe me.

I might not have understood what you said to do but I couldn't get it to work. Also my bulldozer is really screwed. Its dark and ugly and says Can't open object data38/str borovice horska.p3d

Well all he said was that you have to go to the surfaces menu, select set background texture, and then make a box in one of the boxes (left, right, top, etc). after that, you right click in the box you just made, and slect load texture. then you locate the pic you want for reference, and press ok. then right click on the box again and press correct aspect. as for the buldozer thing, go to file>options> click on viewer, and at the bottom you will see what directory you selected to have buldozer. add to that: -noland -dx

BTW, how the hell do you use the camera in the 3d view? All I know about is the Shift+Numpad and the arrowkeys. How can I rotate and zoom? mad.gif

copy all your dll files that came with the viewer to the main oxygen folder. Also check out the setting up Oxygen thread.

Copy the "flashpoint.cfg" file from your Operation Flashpoint folder and put it in your buldozer directory - (C:\ or D:\ for example).
