We will definitely need testers once we the hit testing phase. I will post information on how to sign up for test as we gets closer to that date. Stay tuned, we have lots of exciting things planned for CQ!

UPDATE:

We had originally designed this mod to run on Altis however as the project went on new ideas came about and one was to create a map specifically for CQ that would facilitate the environments concept we are working on and at the same time increase performance.

So as a result CQ Battlefield was born and loading times have decreased dramatically and FPS has increased dramatically. The map is 1024x1024 which is perfectly suited for CQ's layout and with 1200+ close proximity houses (for FPS testing purposes) on the map FPS was still over 110. That was at 1920x1080 with high settings on a gtx670. On Altis in the CQ hub, which was less than 500 objects, FPS was 50 so I consider that a pretty nice gain in performance.

Overall CQ is looking to be on target for a fall Test Phase. I will post more as it becomes available.

Thank you for your support!

I've been getting some exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at the progress here.  Let me tell you: wow.

Definitely something to keep tracking if you're an Arma 3 player of any kind.

UPDATE:

It's been a very busy few weeks here at TRG. We have made some exciting changes to CQ that are really taking this mod over the top. Everything is flowing together nicely and visually it's looking amazing. I feel confident saying nothing like this has ever been done in Arma to date.

A few of the things we have been working on since the last update.

1) We worked out the back story behind the mod to add more immersion and personal investment into the gameplay.

2) We have been creating assets necessary to build the environments we want the game to be played in.

3) We are working on updating the graphics and UI systems to be more inline with the overall mod.

We have been having a blast creating unique assets for CQ to make it look one of a kind and we are excited to release some teasers as soon as we get things in a more presentable state.

Keep up to date with the project on our website linked in the OP.

Thank you for your support and we can't wait to show the Arma community what we are creating.

Have you guys abandoned this ? no videos anymore and your website is offline.

I was hoping to make a new terrain just for this mod.

The project is very much alive, although it seems we have done a Euclideon move. Our graphics artist left the project recently and as such we had to remove all the artwork he did, so the videos/screenshots went down. Since that time we have been re-doing all the visuals, building the model library that will create the Arena environments and refining game play ideas and code.

We should have some media to show off very soon. We have started posting some screenshots of some of the models we have made to our website (we have about 100 models so far) and will start posting teaser vids within the next week or two as everything starts coming together.

As far as creating terrains for CQ, the mod isn't really designed that way. CQ is built on a custom map that never changes, it's the scenery on the map that does because there is a story line that goes with the location and once that is revealed what I just said will make more sense. I updated the website link to the correct one in the OP so you can stay updated if you like.

Thank you for your support!

Hello I am the lead modeler for Arma 3 CQ. I have posted several pictures of objects I am creating on the website but I know a lot of people do not know the address so I thought I would post some here as well. If you would like more info about the mod, our progress, or when you can sign up to help test, visit our main page at www.therevolutiongaming.com. Thanks for all the support out there while we undertake this massive project! I know you will enjoy it!

Thought I would give a quick update on development.

We are still working hard and it's coming along nicely. Our model library has nearly doubled since my last update and we have started to put together the initial set pieces that will make up the visual environment of CQ. We are putting the final touches on the locker room main layout and it looks fantastic so far. We are very pleased with how everything is looking. It's crazy but if you are looking through 1st person and lower your gun you would never know it's Arma.

I know there is no media so to speak on our site yet, but we feel it's best for us to keep things under wraps for a bit longer so we can finish up some visuals before we start showing it off. CQ is a monster and will be a lot of fun to play. I'll update more soon.

Thank you for your support of this massive project.
