MarkRobb 0 Posted October 10, 2002 Is there a formula that you use to create a model to scale for OPF? Do you input the geometry in real time units as in Autocad? I have both Oxygen and 3D Max 4.2 neither of which I have used before.. Tho I use autocad daily Is there a general FAQ that covers this as well as how to skin, what file formats contain what data etc? Thanks
Prospero 1 Posted October 10, 2002 In O2, the grid squares are 1 meter on a side. When importing .3ds models you usually let O2 scale the .3ds object down by 10 (this is the default setting) for the object to be the correct size in OFP. Prospero
KTottE 0 Posted October 10, 2002 Ah, well. If you set up your 3D Studio so that it uses the metric system and use tape mesures and all that, you can get a pretty close count. By using real dimensions I mean. Then you can easily scale it up/down as needed in O2.
