Help with faces/normals prob

Ok, here's the problem: I don't know exactly what's going on here, but everytime I press Ctrl+W to reverse the normals of a face, It seems that the normals or the smoothing of other objects gets all messed up?!

In other words, How can I reverse the normals of a face without o2 messing up the smoothing of other objects??

Or even better, is there any way to make a face double-sided? I mean without copying/pasting the faces and then inverting them to simulate the double sided effect.

You cant make a face with double side

you can get the effect by making a face and press ctrl c en paste it on the same place after that press W smile.gif

just the "W" key to reverse normals, not ctrl W.

and it is possible to make 2 sided faces, select 3-4 points and press F6 twice. But I would only advise doing this on very simple objects as it is very difficult to just select one face after doing this.
