Can't hear own teams gunshots.

So recently in my community we realized that we couldn't hear each other's weapon shots. To make it more strange, SOME people can hear certain individuals while others cannot.

Any ideas on a remedy?

If some people are running Dragonfyre and some aren't hearing shots, could that be a culprit?
